United Way Year of Caring
Since 1992, local workplace volunteers have participated in Year of Caring projects, connecting companies to the volunteer power of their employees. Last year, more than 3,500 volunteers from more than 50 workplaces participated.
This fall, more than 3,000 local volunteers from area workplaces will participate in our Year of Caring to help children and families and make our community stronger.
Participating in Year of Caring is an opportunity for workplaces to enhance their profile while improving on our community’s greatest challenges and involving your employees in making a difference. Customized projects are available to help achieve your workplace’s community goals.
United Way's Year of Caring projects offer many opportunities to make a difference in the communities where you live and work. Employee volunteers engage in full or half day projects focused on education, financial security and/or basic needs. By working together sharing time and talents, volunteers bond and improve employee morale and improve lives for children and families right here in central and northeastern Connecticut.
